Welcome to the Lemay Woods/Lake of the Woods subdivision site. We hope you find the site useful whether you are a current resident or a future one.

History

Lemay Woods/Lake of the Woods subdivision was established in 1976. The original builder was Vatterott, who was responsible for most of Lemay Woods and Beefwood Court in Lake of the Woods. Mason-Cassley then constructed the majority of the homes in Lake of the Woods. At that time, the houses were selling as fast as they were built. When construction began on Lake of the Woods, the sizes of the homes offered were increased and the pool was added. The subdivision quickly grew to 383 homes with 40 acres of common ground, including the pool and the beautiful four-acre lake for which it was named.

Lemay Woods/Lake of the Woods are one subdivision with the same privileges and annual assessment of $250. This fee covers the pool operation, landscaping, insurance, taxes, lake, cul de sac maintenance and the bookkeeping necessary for the collection of the assessment.

The 67 homes in the Lake of the Woods Addition are not part of the 383 homes or the association. They have their own association and do not have pool privileges. The Addition begins at White Pine and Rustic Meadows, continues up on Rustic Meadows then left on Cinnamon Tree Lane, which becomes Whispering Ridge and extends to Old Baumgartner. The Addition had different builders and the homes are larger than those of the Lemay Woods/Lake of the Woods subdivision.
